We’re seeking compassionate support professionals who have their own reliable vehicle to assist individuals with intellectual and developmental challenges in community-based activities, life skills development, and individualized support plans. This role focuses on helping participants build independence, social skills, and community connections.
Location: Pittsburgh, PA
Employment Type: Full-Time/Part-time (flexible schedules available)
Starting Salary: $16-$18/hr
Key Responsibilities:
Transport participants to community activities (fuel allowance program provided)
Support participant volunteering, recreation, and skill-building activities
Promote independence and self-advocacy
Ensure health and well-being in community settings
Maintain documentation of activities and progress
Qualifications:
Valid driver’s license
Reliable, insured personal vehicle
High school diploma or equivalent
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Compassionate and dependable personality
Ability to pass background checks and screenings
DSPs work directly with program participants to assist with daily activities, community outings, life skills development, and individualized support plans. This role plays a vital part in creating a safe, supportive, and welcoming environment for every participant.
